i have migrated to substack for the forseeable future: https://mindslice.substack.com/ first post is already up

i wasn’t intending to move so soon but apparently i accidentally turned on some substack twitter integration so a bunch of people i’m friends with on twitter got notified. it turns out substack is a very stalkable platform

some notes on the move:

• i don’t expect the content i write about to change much
• i’m also not planning to become a content creator or prioritize virality/growth or anything of that form
• literally the only reason i’m moving is because every few weeks someone asks me how to subscribe to wordpress. it’s harder to figure out how to get email subscriptions on wordpress and very easy to figure this out on substack. that is it. maybe that’s a dumb reason to switch platforms, but also i figured that if i’m eventually going to switch anyway i might as well do it now
  • i’ve thought a bit about self-hosting. maybe i’ll get around to it someday, but for now supporting emails and comments seems a bit annoying
• this is an extremely boring post. i am sorry for spamming your inbox
